Addressing the gender pay gap iscentral to UNSDG 5: Gender Equality, which calls for eliminating workplace discrimination against women. Social media has become a pivotal platform forraising awareness and advocating policy reform on this issue. An analysis of

various campaigns, influencers, and organizations highlights how social media

drives the conversation around equal pay.

The #EqualPayDay campaign exemplifies this effort by spotlighting the wage disparity between men and women. Posts, such as those by the National Women’s Law Center on Twitter, useinfographics to reveal that women in the U.S. earn, on average, 82 cents for

every dollar earned by men. These visually compelling posts, paired with calls

to action, reach millions, making the issue more relatable and shareable.
